      Yahshua the Messiah promised in Mat 18:16 that He would build His Congregation and the gates of hell would not prevail against it. What was Yahshua speaking about? In English most translations render the word “ecclesia” as “church”. However, the word church connotes a building or place of public worship, as where the Greek ecclesia or Hebrew “edah” means a called out group of people.

Yahshua’s Congregation is not a corporate run church, set up at city hall under this world’s government system of Satan, the Devil. Rather, Yahshua’s Congregation is a spiritual organism that one does not join by enlisting on some church attendance roll, but rather one can only be drawn to the true Congregation of Yahweh by Yahweh Himself.

John 6:44 No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.

Of course this does not take away the believers responsibility to follow Yahweh’s ordained elders, but it is repentance of sin and the belief in Yahshua for the forgiveness of those sins that enables one to come into covenant relationship with our Heavenly Father and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, not by joining some church or group. Yahweh today, as in times past, is working with different people all over the world.

Since there are thousands of denominations, all claiming to be believers, how can we know the true remnant of Yahweh’s covenant people?

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints, here are the ones keeping the commandments of Yahweh, and the faith of Yahshua.

The way that we will know the true remnant of Yahweh is that they will be covenant led brethren who obey Yahweh’s commandments and have the faith of Yahshua. This faith in Yahshua includes exhibiting true genuine love in our lives to others as Yahshua Himself would.

It would not be a Congregation that has changed His Sabbath to another day, or claims that His Torah is nailed to the stake, but a Congregation that through His Spirit is obedient to His Torah.

Rom 8:4 So that the righteous demand of the Torah might be fulfilled in us, those not walking according to flesh, but according to spirit.

Did Yahshua tell us what name we should pronounce in the Assemblies?

John 17:11b Holy Father, keep them in Your name, those whom You gave to Me, that they may be one as We are .

Eph 3:14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Master Yahshua Messiah.

Eph 3:15 of whom the whole family in heaven and on earth is named.

Clearly, Yahshua left us the example to keep our Congregations named after the family name of our Heavenly Father, Yahweh. Did the Apostle Paul follow His example?

1st Cor 1:2 and to the Congregation of Yahweh which is in Corinth, those having been sanctified in Yahshua Messiah, called out saints,

Acts 20:28b in which the Holy Spirit placed you as Overseers, to shepherd the Congregation of Yahweh, which He purchased through His own blood.

1st Tim 3:5 But if anyone does not know how to rule his own house, how will he care for a Congregation of Yahweh?

Gal 1:13 For you heard my way of life when I was in Judaism, that with surpassing zeal I persecuted the Congregation of Yahweh and ravaged it.

1st Cor 11:16 But if anyone thinks to be contentious, we do not have such a custom, nor the Congregations of Yahweh.

Just as a bride takes on the family name of her husband, upon baptism we should be taking on the family name of Yahweh in our Congregations. Twelve times in Scripture, the NT congregation has been named Assembly or Congregation of Yahweh after the name of our Heavenly Father.

Since our Heavenly Father has restored His true name to us in these end times, should we not follow Scripture and keep His congregation in His Holy name?
