What is the Holy Spirit?

When we look at modern Christianity we find so many of its most precious doctrines, such as the immortal soul, simply are not mentioned in scripture even once. (Please see lesson 17 on the immortal soul).
If you look today at what doctrine out of all doctrines defines what a Christian is you would find it is the doctrine of the trinity. As a matter of fact, how Christianity officially defines a cult is whether or not a group believes in the trinity.
And yet, you do not find the word trinity even once in your bible. NOT EVEN ONCE! Yahweh never describes Himself as a trinity. Actually, even though almost every Christian on earth will claim they believe in the trinity, the honest truth is that hardly any of them can even remotely explain what the trinity doctrine is. Most people believe that the trinity is showing the plurality of 3 Elohim, yet the trinity doctrine is exactly the opposite. It is not claiming that there are 3 separate, distinct Elohim, which consists of Elohim, the Father (Yahweh), Elohim the Son (Yahshua), and Elohim the Spirit (Ruach H Kodesh). But actually, the doctrine of the trinity is saying that there is only one Elohim made up of 3 separate character traits, which they call hypostasis. Please see the quote below from the Catholic Encyclopedia who originated this falsehood in Christianity through the Emperor Constantine the Great.
THE DOGMA of the Trinity-The Trinity is the term employed to signify the central doctrine of the Christian religion-the truth that in the unity of the Godhead there are Three Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Thus, in the words of the Athanasian Creed: “the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, and yet there are not three Gods but one God.”
They are saying that their function is distinct, but are also clearly stating they are the same being. They also use the sun as an example to explain the trinity. They state you have the sun itself, and then the brightness of the sun and the rays of the sun, but clearly we all know there is only one sun. So if one is going to believe this unbiblical doctrine of the trinity, then they are believing that there is only one El in Heaven and are denying the clear biblical mandate of a Father Elohim and a Son Elohim.
Does scripture call the denying of two Elohim beings (Elohim the Father and Yahshua Elohim His Son) the spirit of anti-messiah?
2ndJohn 1:7 Because many deceivers went out into the world, those not confessing Yahshua Messiah to have come in the flesh, such a person is a deceiver and an anti-Messiah.
2ndJohn 1:8 Watch yourselves, that we may not lose the things we worked out, but that we may receive a full reward.
2ndJohn 1:9 Everyone transgressing and not abiding in the doctrine of Messiah Elohim is not in him. The one abiding in the doctrine of Messiah, this one has the Father and the Son.
2ndJohn 1:10 If anyone comes to you and does not bear this doctrine, do not receive him into the house, and do not speak a greeting to him.
2ndJohn 1:11 For the one speaking a greeting shares in his evil works.
COMMENT: The trinity doctrine is nowhere found in scripture and denies the existence of two Elohim beings who are Yah Yahweh the Father and Yahshua Yahweh His Son. Yahweh is the Creator’s family name and when a believer joins covenant with Yahweh and receives His spirit and is adopted into His family and becomes a literal child of Yahweh he/she is baptized into the family name of Yahweh.
Yahweh is a family and He is expanding His family with creating spirit begotten children who will be raised at the resurrection if they are faithful until death. (Please see lesson 3 “The family of Yahweh”)
The trinity doctrine completely negates the concept of the Yahweh family and also negates His master plan of adopting true believers into His family through the New Covenant and the shed blood of Yahshua Messiah.
So if the trinity doctrine is not found in scripture, then, where did the trinity doctrine originate from?
In the fourth century there was an evil pagan emperor named Constantine, who had a dream of a cross before a big battle, and then, won the battle and afterward claimed that he had become a Christian.
However, instead of repenting from idolatry, and paganism, and sin, he actually syncretized his pagan beliefs with his newfound Christian ones. Look at the following quote from Gibbons book Triumph of Christendom, in what Constantine did after he became a Christian.
“Constantine’s religious devotion was “peculiarly” directed toward the genius of the Sun… and he was pleased to be represented with the symbols of the God of Light and Poetry. The unerring shafts of that deity, the brightness of his eyes, seem to point him out as the patron of a young hero. The altars of Apollo were crowned with the votive offerings of Constantine, and the credulous multitude were taught to believe that the emperor was permitted to behold with mortal eyes the visible majesty of their tutelary deity… The Sun was universally celebrated as the invincible guide and protector of Constantine.”(The Triumph of Christendom)
COMMENT: It is clear that Constantine was never a true believer in Yahshua Messiah and did not repent of his sins and paganism and get immersed in the family name of Yahshua Yahweh. He simply combined his pagan customs with some new ones and formed a new religion that he called Christianity. It should also be noted that after Constantine’s so called conversion he had his own son and wife killed.
In 324 A.D. Constantine had a conference of all Bishops in the empire to unify this new Christianity and to officially bring in his pagan heresies as the official doctrine of the Roman Empire. This is where Christmas celebration on December 25th started. December 24/25th is the time of the pagan Saturnalia and is a demonically inspired pagan feast filled with drunkenness and sexual perversity, and was not the birth of Yahshua, but only a pagan masquerade.
It was during this conference that a man named Arias came about with a doctrine that Yahshua did not pre- exist and was not the eternal son of Yahweh, but merely a created man. This is what brought about by Constantine and his lackey bishops to come up with the trinity doctrine, which denies the very existence of Yahshua our Messiah and claims that Elohim is one being with 3 distinct personalities or functions.
And although this is where the trinity doctrine blended with Constantine’s Christianity, it is a well-known fact that many ancient pagan cultures adopted some form of the trinity for their triune diety worship. The Hindu‘s had a pagan trinity of Brahma, Shiva, and Vishnu. The Egyptians had Osiris, Horus, and Isis, and the Babylonian trinity consisted of Nimrod, Semiramis and Tamuz.
Archaeological expeditions in ancient Mesopotamia have uncovered the oldest cultic pagan trinity from the culture of the Sumerians, which thrived over 4,000 years ago. Though Sumeria was overthrown first by Assyria, and then by Babylon, its gods lived on in the cultures of those who conquered it. The historian S. H. Hooke tells in detail of the ancient Sumerian trinity: Anu was the primary god of heaven, the ‘Father’, and the ‘King of the Gods’; Enlil, the ‘wind- god’ was the god of the earth, and a creator god; and Enki was the god of waters and the ‘lord of wisdom’. The historian,
- W. F. Saggs, explains that the Babylonian triad consisted of ‘three gods of basic, equal rank… whose inter-relationship is of the core of their natures’.
The early believers never believed this heresy of Constantine and always believed that there were two eternal beings, Yahweh the Father in heaven and Yahshua His son who came down to earth to die for the sins of mankind. They never believed that the Father and the Son were the same being, but clearly saw them as two distinct beings being united or in Hebrew “echad” through the one Spirit (Ruach H’Kodesh) that they each possessed. They also believed in the deity of Yahshua (see lesson 19, Who is The Messiah of Israel).
So now that we can conclusively show that the doctrine of the trinity is not founded on the biblical text, but actually was rooted in paganism, let’s look at the existence of the Holy Spirit or Ruach H’Kodesh in Hebrew and see exactly what role the Holy Spirit plays in scripture and the plan of Elohim.
Is the Holy Spirit (Ruach H Kodesh) a being with free will as Yahweh the Father and Yahshua the Son?
Gen 1:2 and the earth being without form and empty, and darkness on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of Elohim moving gently on the face of the waters,
Gen 6:3a And YAHWEH said, My Spirit shall not always strive with mankind;
Isa 11:2 And the Spirit of YAHWEH shall rest on Him; He will have the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of YAHWEH.
Isa 42:1 Behold My Servant; I will support Him; My Elect in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit on Him; He shall bring forth justice to the nations.
Isa 61:1a The Spirit of Adonai YAHWEH is on Me,
Eze 36:27 And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments and do them.
Eze 39:29 And I will not any more hide My face from them, for I have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel, declares Adonai YAHWEH.
Luke 1:15 For he shall be great in the eyes of YAHWEH, and he shall not drink wine or strong drink. And he will be filled of the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.
Luke 1:35 And the cherub answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit will come and the power of the Highest will rest upon you.
Luk 1:67 And his father Zachariah was filled of the Holy Spirit and prophesied,
Luke 11:13 And if you who are evil, you know to give good gifts to your children, how much more your Father from Heaven will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him.
John 20:22 And saying this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.
Acts 1:5 for John indeed baptized in water, but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days after.
Acts 1:8 But when the spirit of Holiness comes upon you, you will receive the power, and you will be witnesses of Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Acts 4:8 Then being filled of the Holy Spirit, Peter said to them, Rulers of the people and elders of Israel listen,
Acts 4:31 And they having prayed, the place in which they were gathered was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the Word of Elohim with boldness.
Acts 15:8 And Elohim who knows what is in the hearts testified concerning them and gave to them the Holy Spirit as He did to us.
2nd Cor 1:22 even He having sealed us, and having given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you in water to repentance; but He who is coming after me is stronger than me, of whom I am not worthy to remove the sandals. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire,
John 1:33 And I did not know Him, but the One sending me to baptize in water, that One said to me, On whomever you see the Spirit coming down and abiding on Him, this is the One baptizing in the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, each of you in the name of Yahshua YAHWEH for the forgiveness of sins, that you may receive the gift of the Spirit of Holiness.
Acts 10:38 Yahshua the One from Nazareth, how YAHWEH anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power,
Acts 10:44 As Simon was yet speaking these words, the Holy Spirit rested on all those hearing the Word.
Acts 10:45 And the brothers, those circumcised, who came with him, were amazed and astonished that the gift of the Spirit was even poured out upon Gentiles.
1st Pet 1:5 While you were kept by the power of Elohim, being guarded through faith to a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time;
COMMENT: If one is honest with themselves, there is absolutely nothing in any of the many given examples above that would make one think that the Holy Spirit (Ruach H’ Kodesh) is a separate being apart from Yahweh with a free will. The Holy Spirit in scripture is very clearly defined as the wonderful power of Yahweh. It is the very mind of Yahweh and Yahshua and what makes them think and love and work, but nowhere in scripture is the Holy Spirit defined as a separate entity apart from Yahweh or Yahshua.
Take a look at the following quote from the New Catholic Encyclopedia Vol XIII, pg. 574, on the Holy Spirit.
“Very rarely do the Old Testament writers attribute to Elohim’s spirit emotions or intellectual activity. When such expressions are used, they are mere figures of speech that are explained by the fact that the ruach (Spirit) was regarded also as the seat of intellectual acts and feeling. Neither is there found in Rabbinical literature the notion that Elohim’s spirit is an intermediary being between Elohim and the world.”
The notion of the Holy Spirit being a separate person apart from Yahweh was not in the thought process of the ancient biblical people. Nowhere in the Old Testament or Tanach do we ever see a biblical person speaking to the Holy Spirit or recognizing it as a separate being apart from Yahweh.
Look at the following scriptures to prove that the Holy Spirit is not a person.
Zec 4:6 Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, This is the Word of YAHWEH to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says YAHWEH of Hosts.
Acts 10:38 Yahshua the One from Nazareth, how YAHWEH anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power,
The Holy Spirit is the wonderful amazing power of Yahweh
Isa 11:2 And the Spirit of YAHWEH shall rest on Him; He will have the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of YAHWEH.
The Holy Spirit is also the spirit of wisdom, and counsel, and understanding and power of Yahweh but not apart from Yahweh.
Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, each of you in the name of Yahshua YAHWEH for the forgiveness of sins, that you may receive the gift of the Spirit of Holiness.
The Holy Spirit is not a person but is a gift of the actual power of Yahweh that one can receive
2nd Tim 1:6 For this reason I remind you to stir up the gift of Elohim which is in you through the laying on of my hands
The Holy Spirit must be stirred up, this is not terminology that would be describing a person.
1st Th 5:19 Do not quench the Spirit.
The Holy Spirit can be quenched, a person cannot be quenched.
Tit 3:5 not by works in righteousness which we had done, but according to His mercy, He saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
Tit 3:6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Yahshua Messiah, our Savior.
The Holy Spirit must be renewed and poured out; this could not be speaking of a person or being.
Rom 8:9 But you are not in flesh, but in Spirit, since the Spirit of YAHWEH dwells in you. But if anyone has not the Spirit of Messiah, this one does not belong to Him.
The Holy Spirit is the begetting power of Yahweh, but not a person
Eph 1:13 in whom, you also have heard the Word of Truth, which is the good news of your salvation, in Him you have believed, so you were sealed with the Holy Spirit that was promised,
Eph 1:14 which is the pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
Upon repentance and baptism and the laying on of hands by an ordained Elder, a person receives a down payment of the Holy Spirit. This could not be referring to a person, but is the power of Yahweh.
Did the Apostle Paul believe that the Holy Spirit was a separate person from Yahweh the Father and the third part of a trinity?
1st Cor 1:3 Grace to you, and peace, from YAHWEH our Father and the Master Yahshua Messiah.
1st Cor 1:4 I give thanks to my Elohim always concerning you for the grace of Elohim given to you in Messiah Yahshua,
2nd Cor 1:2 grace to you and peace from YAHWEH our Father and the Master Yahshua Messiah.
2nd Cor 1:3 Blessed be the Elohim and Father of our Master Yahshua Messiah, the Father of compassions and Elohim of all comfort,
Gal 1:3 Grace to you and peace from YAHWEH the Father and our Master Yahshua Messiah,
Gal 1:4 who gave Himself for our sins, so that He might deliver us out of the present evil age, according to the will of our Elohim and Father,
Eph 1:2 Grace to you and peace from YAHWEH our Father and the Master Yahshua Messiah.
Eph 1:3 Blessed is the Elohim and Father of our Master Yahshua Messiah, who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heaven through Messiah,
Php 1:2 Grace to you and peace from YAHWEH our Father and the Master Yahshua Messiah.
Col 1:2 to the saints and faithful brothers in Messiah in Colosse: Grace and peace to you from YAHWEH our Father and the Master Yahshua Messiah.
Col 1:3 We give thanks always to YAHWEH, the Father of our Master, Yahshua Messiah, and we always pray for you,
1st Th 1:1 Paul and Silvanus and Timothy to the Congregation of the Thessalonians in Elohim the Father and the Master Yahshua Messiah: Grace and peace to you from YAHWEH our Father and the Master Yahshua Messiah.
2nd Th 1:1 Paul and Silvanus and Timothy to the Congregation of the Thessalonians in Elohim the Father and our Master Yahshua Messiah:
2nd Th 1:2 Grace to you and peace from YAHWEH our Father and our Master Yahshua Messiah.
COMMENT: The apostle Paul had more New Testament writings than any other person. He saw Yahshua and was taught by Him personally for three years. He had a spiritual insight to the grace of Yahweh like no other New Testament believer, and yet in every single letter he writes he starts by addressing and thanking Yahweh the Father and His Son Yahshua Messiah.
Never even once is there recognition to a third entity called the Holy Spirit. Never once in any letter does he greet or speak to the Holy Spirit. Now if the Holy Spirit was indeed a separate person of a three sided trinity, then it would be inconceivable that the Apostle Paul would write 14 epistles and never greet the Holy Spirit even once. This is again clear evidence that neither the Apostles nor the early believers thought that the Holy Spirit was a person but knew that it was the glorious power and mind of Yahweh. Also, if the Holy Spirit was a being it would have a personal name as Yahweh and Yahshua have; yet we only see it being referred to in the generic term, Spirit of Holiness or sanctification.
Also, and of great importance is the fact that scripture clearly reveals Yahweh the Father in Heaven as the Father of Yahshua Messiah. Yet look at the following scripture in Mathew:
Mat 1:20 And as he was thinking about these things, behold, a Cherub of YAHWEH was seen by him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mariam as your wife. For that in her is generated by the Holy Spirit.
Luke 1:34 But Mariam said to the cherub, How will this be since I do not know a man?
Luke 1:35 And the cherub answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit will come and the power of the Highest will rest upon you. Because of this, He who is to be born of you is holy and will be called the Son of YAHWEH.
COMMENT: Clearly the above scriptures states that The Holy Spirit was the one who generated the very seed of Yahshua Messiah in Mariam. Now if the Holy Spirit was a person, then it would be the father of Yahshua and Not Yahweh the Father in Heaven. Yet understanding that the Holy Spirit (Ruach H Kodesh) is the power and mind of Yahweh, the above scripture fits perfectly with all the other scriptures claiming Yahweh to be the Father of Yahshua.
Also, in the entirety of the whole New Testament you never even once hear Yahshua speaking to the Holy Spirit as an entity, which is a separate person apart from Yahweh. Whenever Yahshua is praying to heaven, He only prays to Yahweh the Father, never even once speaking directly to the Holy Spirit.
Mat 6:9 So, then, you should pray this way, Our Father who is in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
Luke 10:21 In the same hour Yahshua rejoiced in the Spirit, and said, I praise You, Father, Master of Heaven and of earth, that You hid these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to children; yes, Father, because so it was pleasing before You.
Luke 10:22 All things were delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father; and who is the Father, except the Son, and he to whom the Son may desire to reveal Him.
COMMENT: Did you notice that not only does Yahshua never pray to the Holy Spirit, but only acknowledges Yahweh the Father in prayer, but also when He is speaking about revealing Himself He states that no one knows the Father except the Son and whom the Son may desire to reveal Him. There is no mention again about the Holy Spirit being a person, but is always in context of being the glorious power of Yahweh.
Are there other verses in the bibles that reveal the true unity of Yahweh?
John17:1 Yahshua spoke these things and lifted up His eyes to Heaven, and said, Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may also glorify You,
John 17:2 as You gave to Him authority over all flesh, so that to all which You gave to Him, He may give to them everlasting life.
John 17:3 And this is everlasting life, that they may know You, the Elohim of truth, and Yahshua Messiah, whom You have sent.
John 17:4 I have glorified You on the earth. I finished the work that You gave Me to do.
John 17:5 And now Father, glorify Me with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the existence of the world.
John 17:10 And all My things are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them.
John 17:11 And no longer am I in the world, yet these are in the world; and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, those whom You gave to Me, that they may be echad as We are echad (united).
John 17:21 that all may be echad, as You are in Me Father and I in You, that they also may be echad in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
John 17:22 And I have given them the glory which You have given Me, that they may be echad, as We are echad (united):
John 17:23 I in them, and You in Me, that they may be perfected in one; and that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them, even as You loved Me.
John 17:24 Father, those whom You have given to me, I desire that where I am they might also be with me that they might see my glory that you have given to me because you have loved me from before the foundations of the world.
Joh 17:25 Righteous Father, indeed the world did not know You, but I knew You; and these have known that You sent Me.
John 17:26 And I made known Your name to them, and will make it known, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.
COMMENT: When you look at John the 17th chapter, which is called the unity chapter, it is inconceivable that if the Holy Spirit was a third member of a trinity that it would not be mentioned even once in passing. Yahshua is clearly stating that He and His Father are echad (united) and Yahshua is in the Father and the Father is in Yahshua, yet there is not even a mention of the Holy Spirit because the way that they are in each other is by the power or mind of Yahweh, which is His spirit, but it is not a separate being with a mind and a will. Look at the following scripture to see this even clearer:
John 10:29 My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch out of My Father’s hand.
John 10:30 I and the Father are One (echad-united)!
Many times in scripture Yahshua spoke to and of His heavenly Father. He clearly declared the Father is greater than He was and that He could do nothing without the Father, but again no mention of anything of a third being called the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not separate from Yahweh, but is His glorious power and mind. Let’s take a look at the following scripture in Psalms 110:1 to see this matter even clearer.
Psa 110:1 [A Psalm of David.] A declaration of YAHWEH to my Adonai: Sit at My right hand, until I place Your enemies as Your footstool.
Psa 110:4 YAHWEH has sworn and will not repent: You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
Psa 110:5 YAHWEH at Your right hand shatters kings in the day of His anger.
Who is the one sitting at the right hand of Yahweh in Heaven right now?
Heb 10:12 But He, offering but one sacrifice for sins, “sat down” in perpetuity “at the right hand” of YAHWEH, Heb 10:13 from then on expecting “until His enemies are placed as a footstool” under His feet. (Psalms 110:1)
Heb 10:14 For by one offering He has perfected in perpetuity the ones being sanctified.
Heb 10:15a And the Holy Spirit witnesses to us also.
COMMENT: There are around 12 New Testament references showing Yahshua, who also has the title of Melchizedek, (this is a title meaning King of Righteousness) is in Heaven right now sitting at the right hand of Yahweh. There is no scripture in the entirety of the Bible that ever states that the Holy Spirit is in heaven sitting on a throne next to Yahweh or Yahshua. This is because the Holy Spirit is not a being sitting on a throne, but is the glorious power of Yahweh, His very mind and thought process.
When you read Revelation chapter 4 and chapter 5 we see Yahweh’s throne in Heaven and the heavenly host including cherubs, the 24 elders, the 4 living creatures around the throne, and yet not one word is mentioned about the Holy Spirit being a separate being there with Yahweh in Heaven.
One of the reasons that people greatly misunderstand scripture to state that Yahweh is a trinity and that the Holy Spirit is a separate entity with a mind and free will is that since this false doctrine goes back thousands of years and was believed falsely by many of the translators of scripture, the translators falsely translated many scriptures with an inaccurate bias to this false doctrine.
Many times in scripture the translators translated the personal pronoun “he” when referring to the Holy Spirit (Ruach H’Kodesh) instead of the proper grammatical form of “it”. In Hebrew and Aramaic every word has a masculine or feminine form and there is no neuter form, but this means nothing about being a man or a woman. The Hebrew word for book is “sefer” and is a masculine form word. No one would think that a book is male or female, but it is simply the grammatical form of the word, so where the translators in the New Testament translated the word “Ruach” for Holy Spirit they put Him, instead of it, when in actuality in the Greek there is a neuter form and the word “pneuma” which is the Greek word for the Holy Spirit is not masculine but neuter and should be properly translated as “it” and not “he”.
Interesting enough the word Ruach H’Kodesh which is the Hebrew form of the Holy Spirit is actually in the feminine gender, and I am sure no one would think the Holy Spirit is a woman.
Also, when you look at the meaning of “Ruach” it is actually wind, or spirit. It is a power or an essence just as wind when it plows through a room has enormous power to it. Yahweh’s spirit is His enormous power that He has that He puts in each individual who repents of his/her sins and is baptized into the family name of Yahweh and has hands laid on them by an ordained elder of Yahweh.
Look at the following scripture:
Mat 28:19 Then having gone, disciple all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
Mat 28:20, teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the completion of the age. Amen.
COMMENT: Some translations translate this verse as stating “baptize them into the name of the Father and Son and Holy Spirit,” implying that one is baptized into these three names. However, grammatically, the word in Aramaic for “name” is in the singular, so clearly these verses are attesting into baptizing only into the family name Yahweh, which is the name of Yah Yahweh the Father and Yahshua Yahweh the Son.
Interesting enough, Ruach H’Kodesh (Holy Spirit) is actually not even a personal name, but is a title for the power and mind of Yahweh, which is manifested through His Holy Spirit. So under no circumstances would these verses be interpreted to mean being baptized into the name of the Holy Spirit s it doesn’t have one.
Some have purported 1stJohn 5:7 as translated in the King James Bible to be supporting an idea of a trinity.
1stJohn 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
However, this verse is not in any early manuscript whether it be Aramaic, Greek or even the earliest Latin ones and was clearly a forgery that was added later. The actual verse should read as following:
1stJohn 5:6 This is the One coming through water and blood, Yahshua Messiah; not by the water only, but by the water and the blood.
1stJohn 5:7 And the Spirit is the One witnessing, because the Spirit is the truth.
1stJohn 5:8 And there are three who bear witness: The Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and these three are one (echad).
This verse actually has nothing to do with a trinity, as the concept of a trinity is nowhere found in scripture, but John is actually dealing with the Gnostic heresy that Yahshua did not actually come in the flesh as a human being. And to prove that Yahshua came in the flesh John states that when Yahshua was born at His birth He came by water and blood.
And since it was the Holy Spirit that impregnated Mary and not man, John is stating these three witness, the Spirit, the water and the blood prove that Yahshua was miraculously conceived and born of an earthly mother, through the normal birth canal, but no conception by an earthly father, as Yahweh is His Father in heaven and conceived Yahshua through the wonderful power of His Holy Spirit. So again the concept of a trinity is not even mentioned at all in these scriptures.
The trinity is a satanic doctrine that totally negates the beautiful plan of the family of Yahweh in scripture in where Yahweh the Father is literally taking a piece of Himself (His spirit) and begetting spirit begotten children into His family and soon coming Kingdom.
When you look at the true importance of the Holy Spirit in scripture it is truly amazing. As Yahshua was born by the Holy Spirit, He was united with Yahweh by the same spirit and every miracle He did was by the Holy Spirit, which is the emanating, decisive power, of Yahweh.
Then, in the book of John Chapters 13-17 right before He was taken to be beaten and crucified Yahshua prayed to the Father to give the Holy Spirit to all true covenant believers who would believe in Him after His resurrection.
John 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments.
John 14:16 And I will petition the Father, and He will give you another one which will end the curse, that He may remain with you forever,
John 14:17 the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you.
John 14:20 In that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you.
John 14:26 But the Redeemer, the Holy Spirit, whom my Father will send in My name will teach you everything.
And it will remind you of everything that I said to you.
COMMENT: We can see from these scriptures that Yahshua is promising after His death and resurrection that He will send the Holy Spirit to dwell in His true believers, and the spirit of Yahweh in the true believer would end the curse of Adam from the Garden of Eden who rejected the spirit of Yahweh for free choice to make his own rules on what is good and what is evil. Yahweh’s spirit, which is His very mind and thought pattern, would change the heart and mind of the new believer if he surrendered his wicked human nature to the holy, sanctified, submissive, nature of the spirit of Yahweh.
Look at the following scripture to see some of the characteristics of Yahweh’s Holy Spirit.
Isa 11:2 And the Spirit of YAHWEH shall rest on Him; He will have the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of YAHWEH.
Isa 11:3 And He is made to breathe in the fear of YAHWEH. But He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears.
The Holy Spirit will transform the believer’s life and give Him the mind of Messiah. Is the Holy Spirit the same spirit as Yahshua?
Rom 8:9 But you are not in flesh, but in Spirit, since the Spirit of YAHWEH dwells in you. But if anyone has not the Spirit of Messiah, this one does not belong to Him.
Rom 8:10 But if Messiah is in you, the body indeed is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of the One having raised Yahshua from the dead dwells in you, the One having raised the Messiah from the dead will also make your mortal bodies live through the indwelling of His Spirit in you.
COMMENT: Cleary, we can see from the above scripture that the Holy Spirit and the spirit of Yahshua are the same spirit, because the Holy Spirit is not a person but the very living power of Yahweh. Yahweh the Father and Yahshua the Son are two different beings each in heaven now sitting on His own throne (Psalms 110:1), but the Holy Spirit is the spirit of Holiness and life that Yahweh and Yahshua are made up of.
My name is Don and I am made up of human flesh. My flesh is part of me but it is not a separate being from myself.
Yahweh and Yahshua are spirit and they are each separate individuals made up of the one Holy Spirit that is the very spirit and mind of Yahweh. Because there is only one spirit (mind) Yahweh the Father and Yahshua the Son have the same spirit and that is why they are echad in Hebrew or one, united in mind, goal, and in purpose.
Mankind has a different spirit; it is a spirit of pride, rebellion, envy, and strife. By repenting of our sins and accepting the shed blood of Yahshua for the forgiveness of sin, and being baptized and having hands laid on us by an elder for the receiving of the Holy Spirit; this is what makes one a child of Yahweh.
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of Elohim, these are sons of Elohim.
Rom 8:15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery again to fear, but you received a Spirit of sonship by which we cry, Abba! Father!
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself witnesses with our spirit that we are children of YAHWEH.
This is the beautiful good-news of the New Testament of Yahshua, that if we humble ourselves and repent, then we can receive the Holy Spirit, the very essence and mind of Yahweh and have the very spirit of Yahweh and Yahshua living in us and manifesting itself in our life.
Col 1:25 of which I became a minister, according to the stewardship of Elohim given to me for you, to preach the Word of Elohim everywhere,
Col 1:26 even the mystery having been hidden from the ages and from the generations, but now is revealed to His saints;
Col 1:27 to whom Elohim willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, which is Messiah in you, the hope of glory;
How does one receive the Holy Spirit?
Acts 2:37 And hearing, they were touched in the heart, and said to Simon Peter and the rest of the apostles, Men, our brothers, What shall we do?
Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, each of you in the name of Yahshua YAHWEH for the forgiveness of sins, that you may receive the gift of the Spirit of Holiness.
Acts 2:39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all those afar off, as many as the Master our Elohim shall call.
Acts 8:14 And the apostles in Jerusalem hearing that Samaria had received the Word of Elohim, they sent Simon Peter and John to them,
Acts 8:15 who going down prayed concerning them so that they may receive the Holy Spirit.
Acts 8:16 For it was not upon any one of them yet, but they were only being baptized in the name of the Master Yahshua.
Acts 8:17 Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
Acts 8:18 But when Simon Magus saw that the Holy Spirit is given through the laying on of the hands of the apostles, he offered them money,
Act 8:19 saying, Give to me also this authority that to whomever I may lay on the hands he may receive the Holy Spirit.
Acts 19:1 And it happened, in the time Apollos was in Corinth, Paul was passing through the higher parts to come to Ephesus. And finding some disciples,
Acts 19:2 he said to them, Believing, did you receive the Holy Spirit? And they said to him, We did not even hear whether the Holy Spirit is.
Acts 19:3 And he said to them, Then to what were you baptized? And they said, To the baptism of John.
Acts 19:4 And Paul said, John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe into the One coming after him, that is, into the Messiah, Yahshua.
Acts 19:5 And hearing, they were baptized into the name of the Master Yahshua.
Acts 19:6 And Paul laying hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in different languages and prophesied.
COMMENT: It is very clear that the bible mandate to receive the Holy Spirit of Yahweh is to repent of one’s sins and accept the blood of Yahshua for the forgiveness of those sins, and then, get baptized by an ordained elder of Yahweh and have hands laid on them for the imparting of the Holy Spirit.
There are some in the Pentecostal movement who believe they can receive the Holy Spirit without this biblical process and believe that by having the Holy Spirit it will make one shake uncontrollably or bark like a dog, or fall to the ground speaking gibberish. This is not the Spirit of Yahweh but demons, and in the next lesson we will go over the topic fully of the gift of languages.
Proof of the Holy Spirit is not speaking gibberish of a demon, but it is having your life transformed by the Holy Spirit to exhibit the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit in your life. Please see the scriptures below to see what the power of Yahweh’s spirit of Holiness will do in a true believers’ life who has received the Holy Spirit through baptism and the laying on of hands of an ordained elder.
Rom 12:1 Therefore, brethren, I call on you through the compassions of Elohim to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to Elohim, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is the good and pleasing and perfect will of Elohim.
Eph 1:17 that the Elohim of our Master Yahshua Messiah, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of Him,
Eph 1:18 the eyes of your mind having been enlightened, for you to know what is the hope of His calling, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
Eph 1:19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us, the ones believing according to the working of His mighty strength
Eph 1:20 which He worked in Messiah in raising Him from the dead; and He seated Him at His own right hand in heaven,
Eph 3:16 that He may give you, according to the riches of His glory, by His power to become mighty in the inward man through His Spirit,
Eph 3:17 that through faith Messiah may dwell in your hearts, having been rooted and founded in love,
Eph 3:18 that you may be given strength to grasp, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and depth and height,
Eph 3:19 and to know the surpassing knowledge and love of Messiah, that you may be filled to all the fullness of Elohim.
Eph 3:20 Now to Him being able to do exceedingly above all that we ask or think, according to the power working in us,
Eph 4:22 Lay aside all your former practices and put off the old man, having been degenerated with deceitful lusts,
Eph 4:23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
Eph 4:24 and to put on the new man, who is created by Elohim in righteousness and true holiness.
Eph 4:25 Therefore, put away from you lying, and speak the truth each with his neighbor; for we are members one of another. (Zechariah 8:16)
Eph 4:26 “Be angry but do not sin;” do not let the sun go down on your anger, (Psalms 4:5) Eph 4:27 and do not give the Devil a chance.
Eph 4:28 The one stealing, let him steal no more, but rather let him labor, working what is good with the hands, that he may have something to give to the one who has need.
Eph 4:29 Let not any evil word go out from your mouth, but words that are good and useful for edification that it may impart a blessing to those who hear them.
Eph 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of Elohim, by whom you were sealed to the day of redemption.
Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, and anger, and wrath, and tumult, and evil speaking be put away from you, along with all malice.
Eph 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as Elohim has forgiven us through Messiah.
COMMENT: It is an absolute miracle that Yahweh who is omnipresent, and is spirit can take a part of His glorious, eternal, Spirit of Holiness and can implant it in human beings and if they surrender to Yahweh can transform their mind and soul into a new creation. But this is the amazing truth of the New Covenant. However, even after receiving the glorious spirit of Yahweh through Baptism this does not mean that one will automatically change and become regenerated. The person must first truly repent of his/her sins and in a spirit of humility they must surrender to Yahweh in order for His glorious spirit to work in them.
As stated in the above scriptures one must separate from the world around them and not blaspheme the spirit that is living in them, but must yield to it as Yahshua did when He stated in Matthew 26:39, “Not my will be done but your will”. The true believer must grow daily in the Holy Spirit and allow the fruits of the spirit to grow in them. The following are the list of the fruits of the Holy Spirit that someone will exhibit if they are truly filled with Yahweh’s glorious, spirit of Holiness.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 meekness, self-control. Against such things there is no instruction.
Gal 5:24 But the ones belonging to Messiah crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
Gal 5:25 Let us therefore live by the Spirit, and surrender to the Spirit.
Yahweh’s spirit is not barren but is fruitful and will produce the above fruits if it is being renewed daily and nurtured. If the believer surrenders to the Holy Spirit, then their life will be continually changed and transformed all the time.
In Conclusion: The doctrine of the trinity is not in the bible but has been a pagan doctrine administrated by Satan for thousands of years. Yahweh is a family and not a trinity, and His family is continually growing as new members come to faith in Him through the blood of Yahshua His Son and repent of their sins and are baptized by an ordained elder and have the laying on of hands for the receiving of the Holy Spirit.
Points to Remember
- The trinity is not a biblical doctrine but was taken from Paganism and brought into Christianity by Constantine the pagan Roman
- Yahweh is not a trinity but a family and His family grows by Him instilling the Holy Spirit in a believers life through repentance of sin, accepting the blood of Yahshua to pay the penalty of the sins, and being baptized by an ordained elder and having the laying on of hands for the imparting of the Spirit.
- The Holy Spirit is not a person or being but is the glorious power and mindset of Yahweh Almighty
- Once the new believer receives the Holy Spirit and surrenders and submits his human nature and free will over to it, it will literally transform the life of the believer through the fruits of the Holy Spirit and make a new creation in
- The Holy Spirit is the same spirit as the spirit of Yahshua. Yahweh and Yahshua are two separate beings but both are filled 100% of the one spirit of That is why they have the same mindset, and thought pattern and love and purpose. It is the indwelling of Yahweh’s Holy Spirit that makes them echad (unified).
Zec 4:6 Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, This is the Word of YAHWEH to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says YAHWEH of Hosts.
