Have You Been Affected by the Throw-Away Society?

Yahweh is a redeemer and a restorer; He recycles His Creation and He is not a throw-away Elohim. He is an Elohim that will keep His Word no matter what, and as a matter of fact, that is the only reason we are here today, because Yahweh made a promise to Abraham more than 3800 years ago and He will keep that promise to Abraham exactly as He stated.
Gen 17:1 And when Abram was ninety nine years old, YAHWEH appeared to Abram and said to him, I am El Shaddai! Walk before me and be perfect;
Gen 17:2 and I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will increase you very greatly.
Gen 17:3 And Abram fell on his face. And Elohim spoke with him, saying,
Gen 17:4 As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.
Gen 17:5 And your name no longer shall be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham. For I have made you a father of many nations.
Gen 17:6 And I will make you very fruitful, exceedingly. And I will give you for nations. And kings shall come out of you.
Gen 17:7 And I will establish My covenant between Me and you, and your seed after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be a Elohim to you and to your seed after you.
Gen 17:8 And I will give to you and to your seed after you the land of your sojourning, all the land of Canaan, for an ever-lasting possession and I will be their Elohim.
Gen 17:9 And Elohim said to Abraham, You shall keep My covenant, you and your seed after you in their generations.
As we see Abraham was not promised heaven, but was promised by Yahweh that he and his offspring would eternally possess the Promised Land of Israel. That is why it is called the Promised Land.
Heb 11:8 Having been called out by faith, Abraham obeyed to go forth to a place which he was going to receive for an inheritance; and he went out not understanding where he went.
Did Abraham receive that promise yet? No, he has not received an inch of dirt of the land of Israel yet, but he will receive his promise at the first resurrection of the just when we also will receive our reward.
Heb 11:39 And having obtained witness through the faith, these all did not obtain the promise,
Heb 11:40 YAHWEH having foreseen something better concerning us, that they should not be perfected without us.
Actually, no one has received the promise of eternal life, with Yahshua, in the Promised Land of Israel yet, as we all have to show the same faith of Abraham and the prophets and the apostles to receive our reward. Nevertheless, we know that Yahweh does not forget His promise He made in Genesis to the very seed and offspring of Abraham, and that is why He has allowed the Israelites to continue to exist, even in their rebellion against Him.
Mal 3:6 For I am YAHWEH, I do not change. Because of this, you sons of Jacob are not destroyed.
No, Yahweh has not forgotten the promise He made to the seed of Abraham more than 3800 years ago. He is not a throw away Elohim that, simply because the seed of Abraham would rebel against Him, that He would forget His Word.
Rom 11:1 I say then, Did not YAHWEH thrust away His people? Let it not be! For I also am an Israelite, out of Abraham’s seed, of the tribe of Benjamin.
Rom 11:2 “YAHWEH did not thrust away His people” whom He foreknew. (Psa 94:14) Or do you not know what the Scripture said in Elijah, how He pleaded with YAHWEH against Israel, saying,
Rom 11:3 YAHWEH, “they killed Your prophets, and they dug down Your altars, and only I am left, and they seek my life.” (1st Kings 19:10)
Rom 11:4 But what does the Divine answer say to him, “I reserved to Myself seven thousand men who did not bow a knee to Baal.” (1st Kings 19:18)
Rom 11:5 Even so, in this present time a remnant is preserved, elected by grace and has come into being.
Yahweh has not castaway and forsaken His people Israel because He is not a throwaway Elohim, but He is a redeemer and a restorer. He has however, through the sins of Israel and their casting away into the nations, used this situation not only for the calling back of the 12 tribes of Israel, but also to bring salvation to the nations, so that anyone in any nation of any ethnic background that loves Yahweh and repents and humbles themselves before Him can be grafted into the tree of Israel and join the Promised seed of Abraham.
Rom 11:11 I say, then, Did not they stumble that they should fall? Let it not be! But by their slipping away came salvation to the nations, to provoke them to jealousy.
Gal 3:27 For as many as were baptized into Messiah, you put on Messiah.
Gal 3:28 There cannot be Jew nor Aramean, there is no slave nor freeman, there is no male and female; for you are all one (echad), united in Messiah Yahshua.
Gal 3:29 And if you are of Messiah, then you are seeds of Abraham, even heirs according to the promise.
Yahweh used the falling away of Israel to share His great salvation with all mankind, and when a Gentile joins the New Covenant by the blood of Yahshua, who was an Israelite from the House of Judah, then he would also be grafted into the one family of Israel and be an heir and family member of Abraham.
Yahweh did not have to continue His covenant with Israel, as Israel broke His covenant at Mount Sinai and Yahweh had every reason to reject Israel at that point and start fresh with a new family to make covenant with. But, He didn’t do that because of His promise to Abraham and his seed/offspring; and Yahweh is not a throwaway Elohim.
How about you? Are you a throwaway person?
We live in the worst, evil, wicked generation that the world has ever known (2nd Tim 3:1-5). Luke 17:26-29 goes on further to say this last generation that we live in will be as evil as it was in the days of Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah combined!
And let me tell you something, your environment does affect your thinking. And if you don’t believe that, then you are already infected with the Laodicean attitude of thinking that everything is normal and OK.
We live in the worst, nonchalant, throwaway society the world has ever known. In western society people will buy new clothing sometimes every week, and simply discard the last one to keep up with fashion and not wear the same outfit twice. They will use plastic throwaway utensils for convenience, yet plastic is not biodegradable and will last in the garbage dumps for possibly hundreds of years.
And never mind the plastic utensils, recently a new statistic was released from the United States that on average every single person living there throws away about 750 pounds of food a year. And remember this is on average, there are Americans who don’t waste any food, or very little food, so in reality the number of those in the majority that are wasting is probably about 1,000 pounds a year, per person.
But let’s just take the average right now. Can you imagine?! 750 pounds of food per person every year! And if you times that by the roughly 320 million people living in the United Sates you come up with 240 billion pounds of food discarded and wasted every single year. And remember this is with more than 50% of the people in this world going to bed hungry and many of them actually even starving and will die every year, including many children.
At buffets in the United States you will daily see people over filling their plates only to throw half of it in the garbage. Many will take extra butter and jelly and other condiments only to open and leave it behind for the wastebasket. Sadly at times, we have even seen this with brethren.
As a matter of fact, almost everything you can imagine, even houses, are made out of plastic today. They used to use the term of a plastic society as one that is fake and shallow, but today in Babylon, truly it is a plastic society.
Everything in Babylon is expendable as the average person moves from his home on average every 2 to 4 years and also the average worker leaves his job every 2 to 5 years. And, as we also sadly know, marriages are also disposable, and the divorce rate is close to 60%. This rate is quite shocking considering that more than 50% of couples in the USA today are cohabiting and not getting married at all, so the even more frequent break-ups are not even in the divorce statistics; and there is even real talk today to make marriage a limited contract instead of a life-long commitment.
If you really deeply think about society in Babylon today almost everything is expendable and disposable. When someone’s watch will break or their shoe on the bottom comes apart, or their pants or dress will get a slight hole or simply a small stain, the first thing most people think about is to simply throw it away and get a new one. Commercials are filled with throw away items from baby diapers, to cameras, to electronics. Even human life is expendable in the world we live in today.
Isa 49:15 Can a woman forget her suckling child, from pitying the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will surely not forget you.
Yahweh asks the rhetorical question if a woman can forget her suckling child, something that would be unheard of in the ancient world, and yet today, not only do mothers forget their suckling children as they put them in day care as young as one to three months old, some will even discard their new born babies in trash bins when they are born.
And many women actually kill the fruit of their womb as more than 2 million abortions a year are committed in the United States alone, and around 30 to 40 million worldwide.
There is infanticide happening as a result of the throw-away society that Babylon has created, barely spoken about today, because in this throw-away world, it is considered normal.
In ancient days people would use everything that was put before them and did not squander or waste absolutely anything. When they were picking dates off the date palm tree they would cut the dates off the long stem, and use the dates for fruit, for making jelly and cakes, and even making date wine.
The stem was not thrown into the trash but they would use the stem to make rope, to weave baskets, and every piece was used. The wood could be used for either fuel or making furniture to sit on. There was absolutely nothing that was discarded and thrown away simply for convenience sake. In today’s western society, created by USA/Babylon the Great, it is a society of overabundance and waste.
Rev 18:7 By what things she glorified herself, and luxuriated, by so much give back to her torment and mourning. Because she says in her heart, I sit as a queen, and I am not a widow; and I shall not see sorrow. End time Babylon is a trading nation that has amassed their wealth through making a worldwide trading system with the rest of the world.
Rev 18:9 And the kings of the earth will weep for her, and will wail over her, those having fornicated and having luxuriated with her, when they see the smoke of her burning;
Rev 18:11 And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her, because no one buys their merchandise any more,
Rev 18:12 Never again will there be trading of merchandise of gold, and silver, and of precious stone, and of pearls, and of fine linen, and of purple, and of silk, and of scarlet, and all aromatic wood, and every ivory vessel, and every vessel of very precious wood, and of bronze, and of iron, and of marble,
Rev 18:13 and cinnamon, and perfumes, and ointment, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and of bodies and souls of men.
And in order to keep this trading system growing, and this wicked scheme expanding you need three things; one is that you need a debt based system to allow people credit to buy things whether they need them or not.
Second, you need to make sure the quality of the goods being manufactured are not that good so they will wear and break and people will need to throw them away and buy new ones. Did you know that tires could be made to never wear down and that tire manufacturers purposely make a tire to wear down at a certain amount of miles driven? This is also done with many cars and other mechanical parts and machines.
And the last thing you need is an advertising system that will constantly be affecting the minds of people to make them always feel dissatisfied with what they have and always influencing them to want and to buy more and more. This is where Satan, the prince of the power of the airwaves comes in (Eph 2:2). Through the radio, television and now Internet usage connected to Laptops, Tablets and Smart phones, Satan can actually affect most human beings every second of every day.
And unless you are taking seriously the command of Yahweh to come out of this evil end time wicked beast system and are sanctifying your life in holiness to Him, you are being affected by this throwaway society more than you know. One way to test yourself is just ask yourself a few simple questions.
- How much garbage do I throw away every day?
- How often do I buy new clothes, shoes, electronics, ?
- When something breaks do I look to fix it or throw it away?
- Am I willing to either buy or wear used clothing and items when I need something?
- Do I try to use everything I can from everything I am blessed with or do I waste a lot of things?
When you buy chicken do you simply cut off the waste and throw it away, or do you keep it for soup stock? When I was in Africa on a mission trip helping them to build their congregational building I saw the men who were mixing cement were wearing old tires that were made into rubber boots not to get the cement on their feet, as most people could not afford to wear shoes.
When Yahshua fed the 5,000 on the Sea of Galilee was He concerned with what to do with the leftover food?
John 6:10 And Yahshua said, Make the men to recline. And much grass was in the place. Then the men reclined, the number was about five thousand.
John 6:11 And Yahshua took the loaves, and giving thanks distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those reclining. And in the same way the fish, as much as they desired.
John 6:12 And when they were filled, He said to His disciples, Gather up the fragments left over, that not anything be lost.
Even after multiplying enough food to feed five thousand people, Yahshua still told His disciples to gather up the remainder that nothing be lost. And how much did the disciples gather?
John 6:13 Then they gathered and filled twelve hand-baskets with fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over to those who had eaten.
The disciples gathered up 12 hand baskets of food from the five loaves. We know in Scripture that numbers are symbolic and many times have meaning. Here we see that the reason there were 12 baskets left over was a symbol of Yahshua coming to redeem the 12 tribes of Israel. And He did this from 5 loaves; 5 being the number of His grace.
Yahshua, who came in the exact image of Yahweh His Father (Col 1:15), is a redeemer and a restorer as His Father Yahweh is. As a matter of fact, if you search through the whole Tanach and read every messianic scripture you will find the Messiah of Israel has a 3 fold purpose as a redeemer, a restorer, and a re-uniter, to unite the 12 tribes of Israel into one when He returns (Ezekiel 37:1-28). Yahshua is a restorer, not a throwaway Savior. He came for those who were lost.
Mat 18:11 For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.
Mat 18:12 What do you think? If there be to any man a hundred sheep, and one of them strays away, will he not leave the ninety- nine on the mountains, and having gone he seeks the one having strayed?
Mat 18:13 And if he happens to find it, truly I say to you that he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine not having gone astray.
Mat 18:14 So it is not the will before your Father in Heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
Unfortunately, there are many today who have a throwaway mentality, and not only with material things of commerce, but also with their very salvation. In this throwaway society many do not want to belong to the body of Messiah in a local congregation, but would rather simply glean their belief system through Satan’s Internet. And just as many will leave a job or home or even a wife within 2 to 5 years in the wicked end times we are living in, many will also get baptized and make a commitment to Yahweh and after a short time will leave Yahshua’s set apart congregation and stay on their own. In Satan’s throwaway society they don’t see the value of dedicated elders or brethren in the body of Messiah, but simply think they can do it alone. This is a selfish, throwaway mentality.
Yahweh is a family and when someone is baptized they are not joining a religion, but they are joining the very family of Yahweh. And within a family there are, besides the Father, also brothers and sisters that we are subject to and must learn to love as ourselves, and mature in the faith. How will we ever be able to prepare to be kings and priests with Yahshua in His Kingdom, serving the people of that Kingdom, if we cannot even love and serve our brothers and sisters in the body of Messiah now?
Esau, the brother of Jacob also had a throwaway mentality as for one bowl of lentils he gave away his very birthright in the Kingdom of Yahweh.
Gen 25:30 And Esau said to Jacob, Please let me eat of the red, this red soup, for I am faint. On account of this his name is called Edom.
Gen 25:31 And Jacob said, Sell me your birthright today.
Gen 25:32 And Esau said, Behold, I am going to die, and what good is this, a birthright to me?
Gen 25:33 And Jacob said, Swear to me today. And he swore to him and sold his birthright to Jacob.
Gen 25:34 And Jacob gave bread and soup of lentils to Esau. And he ate and drank, and rose up and left. And Esau despised the birthright.
The last point I want to mention is that when you have a throwaway mentality it is a totally selfish, Satanic, self-centered way of looking at life, and all you think about is what is best for you. Esau later regretted giving away his birthright, but not because he hurt Yahweh and violated His covenant, but he was simply remorseful because he saw his brother had something that he didn’t have, so he started to despise the birthright.
This is where the throwaway society leads to; you will never be satisfied because you will never have enough, because in this satanic system they will always have to sell you something new, something better, something more intriguing than your neighbor has, to keep the facade going. People will be jealous, dissatisfied, discontented, always wanting more. How sad that people have been hoodwinked by Satan into such an evil society that Babylon has created, but even sadder, many believers have also been hoodwinked by the Babylonian, Laodician spirit of convenience, pleasure seeking and greed.
Once, at a Biblical park in Israel, the guide was showing how ancient Israelites worked to get their olive oil, grain and food. I made the comment, “wow, they really worked hard“, and the guide replied, “they did not look at it that way. The way they saw it was if there was no work, then there was no food and therefore no blessing. The work was a blessing and their life.”
I will never forget that lesson as it showed me that even after many years of being outside of Babylon I still had some of that throwaway society in me. Sadly, many who have never come to Israel and visited the Holy Land have no idea that they even have this mindset, as it is so normal to them.
Yahweh is a redeemer and our ministry in the Congregation of Yahweh Jerusalem is the ministry of reconciliation, not condemnation. But it is a mindset and a life vocation that can only come by consciously rejecting the mindset and system of Babylon daily and allowing the Spirit of Yahweh to transform your Babylonian earthly mind into the mind of Messiah.
The next time you open the trash bin, think about what you might be throwing away of Yahweh’s creation.
